About me

Clean lines,
one loud detail

Mosko bags are born from the meeting of modern minimalism and distinctive details. Made from natural leather and shaped by hand, they emphasize clean lines and simplicity, yet each piece carries a unique character. The colorful ropes create an exciting contrast with the refined yet strong leather.

Everything is cut, punched, stitched and burnished at one bench in Budapest. Nothing leaves it until it would survive being someone’s only bag.

Come and say hello

1.1–2.0mm Italian vegetable-tanned cowhide, natural, dyed brown or black
7–12days at the bench once an order comes in
3kinds of rope: boat, climbing, or a colour mixed for you

How one gets made

Four days at the bench,
spread over two weeks

01

Choosing the hide

Italian vegetable-tanned cowhide, 1.1 mm for the soft pieces, 1.8–2.0 mm where it has to hold its shape.

02

Cutting

Every panel is cut by hand from the same hide, so the colour matches across the finished piece.

03

Stitching

Saddle-stitched by hand. If a thread ever breaks it stays put instead of unravelling.

04

Rope & hardware

The strap is spliced to length and fixed with a metal snap hook, so you can swap it later.

The leather

It is supposed
to change

Natural leather changes considerably over time. The more you use it, the darker it goes, until it settles into a toasted brown. The marks you put into it are the finish — that is the whole point of vegetable tanning, and it is why nothing here is coated to look permanently new.

Most marks come off with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Leather cream works too — try it somewhere out of sight first, as it can darken the colour slightly.

Why you can build your own

The rope is a decision,
not a default

People are not choosing a bag — they are choosing a colour to walk around with. So the parts are stocked separately and the six choices are yours: shape, leather, rope type, rope colour, hardware, monogram.

The whole rope range comes with me, so you can hold a strap against the leather before you decide.
